“Experience the Art of Japan: A Journey Through Tradition & Performance!”
Within our network of highly trained individuals are experts in Traditional Japanese culture that can be consulted for content creation. They can showcase traditional and contemporary Japanese arts and customs in a heritage rich performance or assist in creating your own unique atmosphere inspired by the Japanese arts. Areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, tea ceremonies, flower arrangements, festival dancing, kimonos, and much more.

Oshale Japan is a rising sensation global performance arts group that hails from Asakusa.
Oshale Japan burst onto the scene, revolutionizing traditional dance by fusing it with modern entertainment for a refreshing twist.
By integrating elements of pop culture, rock, electronic dance music, and contemporary dance with the culmination of hundreds of years of traditional folklore performances, Oshale Japan creates a fresh take on Japanese culture – bringing it to the forefront of world-class entertainment.
Our Mission
KIMONO CON is a non-profit organization founded in 2023, dedicated to promoting kimono and Japanese culture through immersive events while supporting local communities on the West Coast.
Our mission is to create high quality, engaging events that transcend nationalities and languages. We believe that when cultures come together and begin to understand where they each came from, their bonds further strengthen. To achieve this, we fuse contemporary with tradition as well as Japanese and American to create a unique multi-cultural experience.
OUR PURPOSE
- To introduce Japanese culture to participants who have never experienced it before
- To create immersive events that strengthen multicultural bonds
- To facilitate exchange and collaboration between those involved in cultural activities in Japan and locally
- To provide an experience that introduces both authentic traditional Japanese culture as well as to global phenomenon Japanese pop culture
- To strengthen the bonds of friendship between the United States and Japan through culture, connection, and shared experience
Our Projects
KimonoCon has been involved with numerous successful events over the past decade. Our most successful and recognizable is the OC Japan Fair where we showcased tea ceremonies, calligraphy, Japanese decor, and traditional games. Our team managed venue selection, onsite operations, and talent coordination for a truly immersive experience.
Communities partnered with KimonoCon.
In April 2024, KIMONO CON partnered with OC Japan Fair to create “NAKAMISE ST.,” a recreation of Asakusa’s famous Nakamise Street. Working with local organizations, the event offered visitors an authentic Japanese cultural experience. That summer, KIMONO CON produced the festival area at the “Nova Vita Festival 2024” at Tanaka Farm, helping to revitalize local events and encourage cultural exchange.
In October 2024, KIMONO CON collaborated once again with OC Japan Fair under the theme “More Asakusa!”. The event featured Tokyo Rickshaw, an Asakusa-based rickshaw group, with performances by the theatrical troupe Oshale Japan. Over three days, they brought the vibrant energy of Asakusa’s traditional theater to life, making the event a great success.
KIMONO CON will continue organizing events that celebrate Japanese culture, foster international cultural exchange, and support local communities.

OC JAPAN FAIR, hosted by Japan Product Promotion, is a Japanese cultural festival held since 2009 in Orange County.By introducing and promoting Japanese Food, Culture, Music, Tech-Innovations, Anime, etc. OC JAPAN FAIR in 2025 will be held on 4/4-6 and 10/17-19 at OC FAIR & EVENT CENTER in Costa Mesa, CA! We will introduce Japanese culture as well as excellent Japanese foods, products, and services to the world.
